Author, composer, interpret and arrangements, Adama Yalomba whose true name is Adama Traoré was born in the middle of the 70's in Kémacina. Where his father, Samadji Traoré was at the same time a farmer and a confirmed artist of this area.
In fact it is with this his late father a n'dan virtuous that our artist got the first touch of this six strings mystical instrument. Which is generally played to welcome those who have been abroad on the public area. The training lasts 15 years during which Adama will go through the deep Mali.
Excellent percussionist, guitarist (n'goni, n'dan and guitar) Adama play with the "Balazan of Ségou" (a talented group from the Ségou region in Mali). A year later he joins the "Bronkoni of Niono" (an other leading group from the same region).
In 1992, Adama came in Bamako with the ambition to share his experience. Awa Dramé, Bakoroba Diabaté, Nanou Coul are the first who beneficed from that experience.
This young artist, now, imposes his own style, captivating rhythm which make you dance.

In 6 years, you have published four albums, that means an new album every 18 months, can you explain this ?
- It all depends on my inspiration, all I'm able to do is music, this is why I'm always repeating in order to improve my music.
Why do you change of producer when publishing a new album?
- It depends only on me, the album " Yalomba " was produced by Maikano, it's true that this album allowed music-lovers to discover me but I confess that he had no respect for me, this is why when Labita proposed me a producing contract, I didn't hesitate. Even if I wasn't totally satisfied by the arrangements, I proposed him a second album but he wasn't interested. I then went to Samassa Records. " Gnumankè " goes out without any clip, without any promotion while our interest were bound. An artist who make a living on his music is doomed to disappear if his promotion isn't properly made. Moreover, someone who wants to pierce in music has to work with real firms and not firms in which one person is every thing.
Isn't "M'bora (I went out)" a bit late when we know that it's not your first album ?
- I don't think so, my first albums had a lot of success but I wasn't satisfied by the conditions of work. This time, I had a free hand to realise my dream and I had no constraint.
Can Adama tell us what he won by signing with Malik7? Money or esteem?
- You're going to be surprised ? I always have compliments when I went out in town but those who compliment me don't know that Adama is broke. As an answer, I prefer public esteem and money will come naturally.

- Today I am satisfied by the quality of work even if it's too early to speak of the sells. We are the children of this country, we must fight against piracy in all his forms because I (don't) understand authorities' indifference to this phenomena who is a danger for citizens' lives. When it's state's label, they make a lot of din for ten millions while what we (artist and state) lose, is over the milliard. I invite all the music-lovers to buy legal tapes which only allow the artist to live and record other song.
